The Caerphilly West Allotment Association is a democratic organisation, and its Officers and Committee are nominated from member sites and elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Granville Pitman
Granville Pitman has been a plot holder at Machen Fwrwm Road for 45 years, and Chair or Secretary for 25 years. He ran his own Electronic Control Company for 25 years. Granville was Chair of NAS Wales for 6 years, and on NAS National Management committee for a year as Regional Representative.

Teresa Winiarski
Teresa has had allotments for more than 30 years, and is currently secretary at Trethomas Allotments. She uses permaculture and minimal dig methods and chop and drop composting. Following teaching and management roles in both university and secondary schools, she spent 13 years as a senior manager for a local authority.

Gaynor Hart
Gaynor is a retired Police officer and for the past four years has been a plot holder and latterly committee member at Heol Fawr Allotments in Nelson. She describes herself as a novice at the allotments but each year is growing in confidence and enjoys growing produce and giving to family and friends. Her other passions include her grandchildren, Liverpool FC and F1, not necessarily in that order.

Carolyn Llewelyn
Carolyn Llewellyn is Secretary of Pandy road allotments, Caerphilly. She has had a plot there for about 50 years and is still learning! She loves digging and weeding. She is responsible for letting out plots, ensuring members are happy, plots are kept tidy, securing funding and solving disputes, amongst numerous other jobs. She is also Secretary of NAS Wales and organises attendance at various horticultural shows throughout Wales, including booking stands, enrolling volunteers and setting up.

Lesley Jones
Lesley Jones is Secretary of Cascade Allotment Association in Penpedairheol. She has worked in Education for over 38 years both in the FE/ Tertiary sector. Lesley is a committed Allotmenteer devoted to organic gardening. She is passionate about self sufficiency and actively promoting gardening skills to fight food poverty.
